Kyle Stephens is the Founder and Principal of Brown Street Consulting, a boutique advisory firm serving founder-led and family-owned businesses throughout the lower-middle market. His background spans public accounting, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, company management, and entrepreneurship—from advising middle-market businesses and executing complex transactions to building, scaling, and successfully exiting a business of his own.

Kyle began his career in public accounting, advising closely-held businesses on accounting, tax, and financial reporting matters across a variety of industries. He later joined the transaction advisory practice of a global public accounting firm, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, and complex business transactions. This experience provided him with a deep understanding of how sophisticated investors, lenders, and acquirers evaluate businesses and create enterprise value.

Following his work in transaction services, Kyle joined Good City Brewing in Milwaukee as Vice President of Finance & Administration. During a period of rapid growth, he led the company's finance, accounting, IT, and human resource functions while helping execute strategic initiatives including capital raising, real estate development, operational expansion, and long-term financial planning.

In 2020, Kyle founded Craft Beverage Warehouse, an innovative digital printing and beverage packaging company serving the craft beverage industry. As founder and President, he grew the business to more than $20 million in annual revenue, expanding operations across manufacturing facilities in Milwaukee, WI and Denver, CO while building a national customer base. After establishing Craft Beverage Warehouse as a leader in digitally printed beverage packaging, Kyle successfully exited the business through its acquisition by a private equity-led $4 billion worldwide packaging distributor in late 2025.

Today, Kyle combines institutional financial expertise with firsthand operating experience to help entrepreneurs build stronger, more valuable businesses. Through Brown Street Consulting, he advises clients on fractional CFO leadership, startup accounting and finance support, debt and equity growth financing advising, leadership team development, and exit planning and readiness advising. A native of Northeastern Wisconsin that grew up in a family manufacturing business and a graduate of University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee’s Lubar College of Business, Kyle is passionate about helping founders navigate the challenges of growth, access capital with confidence, and building businesses that create lasting value for employees, customers, local communities and future owners.
